Musings on Yesterdays Big Day Out
It was my first one and boy howdy, they aren’t joking around when they call it a big day.
- Rage sounded good but I couldnt see shit cause I was stuck behind 3 fat bastards taller than I, all standing in a row.
- I fucking loved the Arcade Fire’s set, first time I’ve seen them live. You could really tell they just flat out love making music.
- Regurgitator were good, Grinspoon were their usual ok-ness.
- UNKLE were amazing, managed to catch the last 3-4 songs of their set.
- Carl Cox’s set at Lillyworld was, to my understanding, impromptu but great.
- Wish I caught LCD Soundsystem but they were on at the same time as RATM.
- Finally, leaving the venue was a fucking nightmare, I honestly can’t explain how bad it was. As the train station was exit of choice almost by default, there were too many people being funnelled into a tiny area. Also, train fare prices werent included in the ticket price. WTF?
